Mysore/Mysuru: The Forest Department personnel have arrested four persons while they were trying to sell a Sand Boa snake and have seized one bike and one scooter besides rescuing the snake.
The arrested are Manjunath of Marigowdanahundi, Devalapura in the taluk, Venugopal of Hinkal in Mysuru, Shrungar and Siddaraju of Hanur in Chamarajanagar district.
The Forest staff have seized one Passion Pro bike (KA-10 V-9536) and a Honda Dio scooter (KA-09 HU-3959) used for the crime besides rescuing the snake from them.
Deputy Conservator of Forests (DCF) A.T. Poovaiah supervised Range Forest Officer (RFO) S. Vivek, Deputy Range Forest Officers (DRFOs) P. Lakshmish, Sundar, Nagaraju, Pramod, Vinod Kumar, Meghana and Sneha, Forest Guards Mahantesh, Ravinandan, Virupaksha and Chennabasavaiah and drivers Puttaswamy and Madhu in the nabbing, rescue and seizing operation.
