Mysuru: People Tree has organised a four-day visit to Haveri district in North Karnataka from Aug.15 to 18. The programme includes visit to historical and artistic temples of Muktheshwara, Purada Siddeshwara, Tarakeshwara, Veerabhadra, Billeshwara, Jain and Galaganatha constructed by the rulers of Chalukyas, Rashtrakutas and Kadamba dynasty.
Participants will also visit the Wildlife Sanctuaries of Ranebennur and Bankapura during the trip.
Apart from that, in Utsav Rock Garden and Agadi Farm, the participants will get a chance to indulge in activities like water games, boating, rain dance, mud play, tanga/ bullock cart/ camel / horse ride, folk wigs and dresses, nature walk, bee keeping, cycling, rabbit rearing, pottery, etc.
The four-day event also includes visit to birth places of Sudha Murty, Gangubai Hangal, Kanakadasa and Santa Shishunala Sheriff.
During the trip, noted littérateur Virupaksha Korgal will introduce the history and architecture of about Haveri.
