Pavan, J.C. Ramesh Nayak, M.K. Kavya and M. Meghana of Mysuru are among the 12-member Netball boys and girls teams respectively selected to take part in the 24th Sub-Junior Nationals Netball Championship, organised by Himachal Pradesh Netball Association in coordination with Netball Federation of India, at UNA Himachal from Dec.6 to 9.

In preparation for this National Championship, a coaching camp was organised at Chitradurga by Amateur Netball Association of Karnataka and Chitradurga District Netball Association from Nov.22 to Dec.1 for 20 players each in Boys and Girls team selected from 1st Sub-Junior State League Netball Championship-2018 held at Chitradurga.

The list of the final 12 players is as follows:

Boys’ Team: V.G. Arun, SAVM Bengaluru (Captain), P.M. Shreyas, Chitradurga    (Vice-Captain), T.D. Varun, Hassan, Chiranth Gowda, Hassan, N. Kiran, BIA Bengaluru, S.R. SAI Sanjay, Chitradurga, A.B. Pradish, SAVM Bengaluru, Dhanish Abhishek, BIA Bengaluru, Pavan, Mysuru, J.C. Ramesh Nayak, Mysuru, P. Jagadish, Chitradurga and Amaresha, Tumakuru; Coach: L.G. Manasa, PED, BMS College and Manager: Ramsing Nayak Chitradurga.

Girls’ Team: Kavana M. Gowda, Hassan (Captain), H. Manasvi, SAVM Bengaluru (Vice Captain), D.A. Inchara,  Hassan, P. Apoorva, Chitradurga, K. Sharanya, SAVM Bengaluru, R. Ramya, Chitradurga, K. Kavana Reddy, Davangere, M.K. Kavya, Mysuru, Ananya P. Poojari, BIA Bengaluru, S. Snigdha, BIA Bengaluru, K.N. Bharathi, Tumakuru and M. Meghana, Mysuru; Coach: V. Chinnaiah, SJM Chitrudarga and Manager: L.G. Manasa, PED, BMS College.

Both the teams will be departing Bengaluru today (Dec.2) from Bengaluru and will  be back on  Dec.12. The Karnataka teams had secured Silver medal in the 23rd Sub-Junior National Netball Championship held at Bihar in the year 2017-18.
