Four held for illegal fishing at Kukkarahalli Lake

Mysore/Mysuru: University of Mysore (UoM) security personnel have caught four persons who were found fishing at Kukkarahalli Lake illegally and have handed them over to Jayalakshmipuram Police.

Those who were handed over to the Police are Babu, Anand, Appu and Babu. The security personnel have seized a Maruti Omni van, five fishing nets and 50 kg fish from them.

The UoM security personnel, who found the four accused fishing illegally in the Lake at about 11 pm on Feb. 9, caught them and handed them over to Security Officer A.C. Acchappa, who in turn handed over the accused to Jayalakshmipuram Police, who have registered a case in this regard and are investigating.
