They wanted to fund cases of accused in jail using the loot money
Mysuru – The City Crime Branch (CCB) Police, on Apr. 6 have arrested four person for plotting to commit dacoity as the accused wanted money to take up the cases of some accused who are in jail.
The arrested persons have been identified as Ramesh alias Palli of Paduvarahalli, Hemanth Nayaka, Mukunda alias Manchu and Prashanth of Kumbarakoppal.
The Police have also seized two bikes, machetes, chilly powder packets and daggers from them.
It is reported that the CCB Police on Apr. 6 at about 2.30 am, who were on their regular beat in Gokulam 3rd Stage coming under Jayalakshmipuram Police limits, came across six persons in two bikes standing near the newly-constructed vegetable market and when the cops approached them to enquire, all the six attempted to flee but the Police caught four of them.
On enquiring them, the cops came to know that those who fled were Venkatesh alias Tirupathi and Raghu alias Donkey.
On searching them, the cops found lethal weapons and chilly powder packets with them and took them into custody.
During interrogation, the accused revealed that they were plotting to commit dacoity for money which they needed to take up the cases of Manjesh, Hemanth Kumar and Kunda Seena, who are in jail and had asked the arrested persons to commit dacoity and fetch them money.
A case has been registered at Jayalakshmipuram Police in this regard.
