Four tonnes banned plastic materials seized during raid

Mysuru: The Mysuru City Corporation (MCC) and Environment Officials, who raided R.B. Trading Co., a polypropylene bags manufacturing unit on C.V. Road in Bannimantap yesterday, have seized 106 polypropylene rolls from the factory.

Acting on a tip off that the factory was manufacturing polypropylene bags, MCC Commissioner Gurudatta Hegde, Zone-7 Assistant Commissioner Geetha Huded, Health Officer Dr. Jayanth, Pollution Board Deputy Environmental Officer Ramesh, MCC Environmental Engineer Mythri and staff conducted the raid.

During the raid more than four tonnes of the banned plastic materials were found and the MCC Commissioner instructed the staff to seize the banned materials and initiate action against the owner. 

Zone Health Officer Tabasum, Corporator Reshma Banu and others were present.
