Free educational-cum- residential project for boys

Ojas Public Charitable Trust, Madhava Kripa, JLB Road, Lakshmipuram, has invited entries from candidates  to pursue their studies in non-medical and non-engineering courses, from PU to IAS, IPS, free of cost.

Ojas Education Trust will focus on enabling learning to the brightest among the needy sections of the society.  The Trust  will select 15 to 20 promising boys, presently studying in Class X and will offer them free PU education and further education other than Engineering and Medical courses. Eligible candidates across Mysuru, Mandya, Hassan and Chamarajanagar districts may avail of this opportunity.

A selection test will be conducted at Gopalaswamy PU College, Nanjumalige Circle, Mysuru, between 10 am and 1 pm on Sunday (Apr. 23). Students may register for the exam at 9.30 am.

The test, based on the syllabus for SSLC exam, will be in the objective format for 200 marks.

Ojas representatives will visit the homes and schools of selected students to ascertain interest  and motivation to pursue the programme. Students selected will attend an interview along with their parents. The boys must have appeared for SSLC during March/April 2017; secured at least 70% marks in IX std.; have a parental income not exceeding Rs. 1,50,000 per annum and willing to move to a hostel/college in Mysuru to study.  For details contact N.
