Somwarpet resident comes under moving train

An incident of a man, whose leg was severed after he came under a moving train at Ashokapuram Railway Station and breathing his last at K.R. Hospital, has been reported in city yesterday.

The deceased has been identified as Suresh Kumar  (45), a resident of Somwarpet    in Kodagu.

It is reported that Suresh, who was crossing the railway track in Ashokapuram Railway Station, came under the moving train resulting in one of his legs being severed and sustain serious injuries to his other leg.

Station Master Murali, who noticed the mishap, shifted the seriously injured Suresh to K.R. Hospital, where Suresh breathed his last after failing to respond to the treatment.

Railway Police have registered a case in this regard.
