From Kolar to Texas: Student revives forgotten memories of a teacher

July 8, 2021

Sir,

This refers to the feature article titled “Reviving Forgotten Memories” published in Star of Mysore dated July 7 (page 9). It was one of the finest articles on Mohammed Nizamuddin, the football player of yesteryears.

Incidentally written by his grand-daughter Areebah Tasdeeq, the article took me down the memory lane with nostalgic memories.

Mr. Nizamuddin, now aged 92, was my teacher in Kolar at the Government High School during the years 1955-57.

I am 79-year-old now and we live in Spring, Texas, USA, since 1970. I would like to speak to him for old time’s sake. We request you to please e-mail us his phone number in Mysuru so we can transmit a few pictures from our old times. Thank you STAR for connecting me to my teacher.
