Fruits, vegetables best medicines for kids: DC

Mysuru:  Mysuru Deputy Commissioner (DC) Rohini Sindhuri has advised the parents to educate their children about the importance of food and serve more fruits and vegetables during mealtime.

She was speaking after inaugurating a training programme ‘The role of nutritious food in leading a healthy life,’ organised for hostel wardens of Social Welfare Department by Zilla Panchayat (ZP) in association with AYUSH Department, under the Special Component Plan (SCP) scheme, which was held on Thursday last.

DC Rohini Sindhuri advised the hostel wardens to practice consumption of nutritious food in their homes and be a role model for hostel inmates. 

Department of Welfare of Scheduled Caste Project Co-ordinator Prabha, Joint Director of Social Welfare Department Muniraju, Dr. Vinay  and Dr. Seethalakshmi of AYUSH were present.
