Centenarian G. Nagaraj Bhagavathar (106), a former priest of Srikanteshwara Temple in the town, passed away here this morning.

A resident of Kayi Angadi Street in Nanjangud town, he leaves behind three daughters and a host of relatives and friends.

He was an associate of Thespian Dr. Rajkumar for many decades and the late actor used to visit him whenever he came to Nanjangud. He was also a musician.

Last rites will be performed at Harishchandra Ghat on the banks of River Kapila in the town later this evening.
