Mysuru:  Sri Ganapathy Sachchidananda Swamiji’s 76th birthday celebrations at the Ashrama premises in city concluded on May 27 with Bhagavad Gita Parayana by 87 children memorising all 700 shlokas in Bhagavad Gita.

The children are Ashrama devotees and had come from Bengaluru, Mysuru and other districts; Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Tamil Nadu, Kerala and other States. They were trained through Skype and other media technologies.

The were examined individually for the last one month. They memorised all 700 shlokas in Bhagavad Gita and passed in the examination.

Such 87 children were allowed to sit in the Nada Mantapa stage along with Sri Swamiji to chant Bhagavad Gita.

The parayana was for more than four hours continuously and participation certificates were given to all students.

During Parayana, thou- sands of devotees also participated by chanting the shlokas with the help Bhagavad Gita books, sitting in Nada Mantapa along with the audience.
