Mysuru: The District Administration, Mysuru City Corporation (MCC) and the Department of Information & Public Relations have jointly organised Gandhi Jayanti Prayer Meeting at Town Hall tomorrow (Oct. 2) at 8.30 am.

District Minister Dr. Yathindra Siddaramaiah will inaugurate. MLA  K. Harishgowda will preside.

Mahatma Gandhi Study Chair, Karnataka State Open University (KSOU), will celebrate 157th Gandhi Jayanti at Gandhi Vana in KSOU tomorrow at 9 am. KSOU Vice-Chancellor  Prof. A.P. Gnana Prakash will preside.

Mysuru District and City Freedom Fighters Association will be celebrating Gandhi Jayanti in Subbarayanakere tomorrow at 10 am. Association President Y.C. Revanna will preside.

The Centre for Gandhian Studies, University of Mysore (UoM),  as part of World Non-Violence Day commemorating Gandhi Jayanti, will be hosting a special lecture on ‘Nayakatvada Vikasa: Gandhiji Torida Haadi’ at Gandhi Bhavan in Manasagangothri tomorrow at 11 am. Writer & cultural thinker Prof. Nataraj Huliyar will inaugurate the event and deliver the lecture.

University of Mysore Vice- Chancellor Prof. N.K. Lokanath will preside. Gandhi Bhajans will be presented from 10 am  – 11 am.
