Mysuru: In separate cases, Mandi Police have arrested a ganja peddler and a house burglar in city.
In the first case, the Cops have arrested a 31-year-old man on charges of committing house burglaries and have recovered 130 grams gold jewellery worth about Rs.4.38 lakh from him.
The accused is Anand, a resident of Nanjangud. He was picked up by the Police, while he was moving around in a suspicious manner near Dinesh Jewellers on Akbar Road in Mandi Mohalla. During interrogation, the accused is said to have confessed of burgling houses at Koorgalli and Naidu Nagar in city in 2017. Based on the information provided by the accused, Mandi Police have recovered the stolen jewellery besides registering a case.
In the second case, a 21-year-old ganja peddler, who was found moving around in a suspicious manner with a packet in his hand, has been arrested by the Police on Monday.
The arrested is Syed Saddam, a resident of MKDK Road in Mandi Mohalla.
The Police, who opened the packet, found 157 grams ganja in it following which a case was registered against him.
