Garbage mismanagement at Vinayakanagar

July 8, 2022

Sir,

This is to draw the attention of MCC authorities concerned and the area Corporator towards the garbage mismanagement issues in our locality at Paduvarahalli (Vinayakanagar).

There is no proper system in place for collection and disposal of garbage. This matter has been brought to the notice of the MCC several times by the residents. However, no permanent long-term solution has been adopted yet. People throw garbage on the streets which creates an unhealthy atmosphere to live in. The odd smell from the wastages is unbearable and health hazardous.

Considering the plight of not only humans, it has also caused a threat to the animals. Most of the times we find cows consuming plastic which is highly dangerous.

There’s a newly constructed park a few months ago whose main purpose is to provide relaxation and recreation time to the people. But unfortunately the surrounding atmosphere is filled with filth and dirt making the situation worse. So, what is the purpose of this park now?

Our complaints are not being heard by the civic body, which is disheartening. Therefore, I humbly request the MCC Commissioner to instruct those concerned to address this issue at the earliest in the better interests of tax-paying residents.
