February 21, 2023

Mysore/Mysuru: Miscreants, who broke the rear glass of a car, have decamped with gold ornaments and cash kept in the car. The incident took place near Sri Tripurasundari Temple at Uttanahalli at the foot of Chamundi Hill on Feb. 17.

One Sharath Kumar, 34, a resident of Kamalanagar in Bengaluru, had come to the temple along with his family in his car (KA-04-ML-0306) to attend the birthday function of his sister’s daughter, which was held near the temple.

After parking his car in front of the temple, Sharath and his family members went inside the temple to have the darshan of the Goddess. When he came out of the temple at about 1 pm to take a few things kept in the car, he found the rear glass broken and the vanity bag in which 23 grams gold ornaments, Rs. 25,000 cash and a mobile phone was kept missing. A case has been registered at Mysuru South Rural Police Station.
