Gold mangalya, hundi stolen from temple

Mysore/Mysuru: Thieves who broke into a temple have made away with the gold mangalya chain of the deity and a hundi from the temple on the night of Apr. 11.

The theft took place at Maramma Temple, adjacent to Sri Muruda Basaveshwara Temple at Doddahundi Gate on Mysuru-H.D. Kote Main Road in Jayapura Police limits.

The theft came to light when the Priest came to the Temple at about 6 am on Apr. 12 only to find the three doors of the Temple broken by the thieves.

Jayapura Police, who have registered a case in this regard, are investigating.
