Owner lodges complaint against maid

Mysuru: A house owner has lodged a complaint at Kuvempunagar Police Station against the maid for stealing gold ornaments, cash, sarees and mobile phones from the house.

While the house owner, who has lodged a complaint, has been identified as Sudha R. Rao, wife of Ravindra P. Rao, a resident of Ramakrishnanagar, the house maid has been identified as Shubha. Shubha, who has been working as a maid in the house of Sudha, used to come for work daily in the morning and evening.

When Shubha left the house on Aug. 4, after doing the household works, Sudha inspected the place where she had kept her gold ornaments weighing about 350 grams only to find it missing. On further inspection, she also found Rs. 12,000 cash, camera, more than 10 silk sarees and two mobile phones missing.

After confirming through CCTV footages that Shubha had stolen the items, she (Sudha) has lodged a complaint with Kuvempunagar Police.

Kuvempunagar Police, who have registered a case in this regard, are investigating.
