Mysuru: Even as six-time Congress MLA from Narasimharaja Assembly Constituency Tanveer Sait is leaving no stones unturned to make it to the Ministry of Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar, Health and Family Welfare Minister U.T. Khader has predicted that good times are ahead for the latter.
“Sait has all the qualifications to become a Minister. Mysureans are known for making sacrifices, as it is evident with how Siddaramaiah stepped down as the CM on the advise of party High Command. A leader of calibre like Sonia Gandhi herself sacrificed Prime Minister’s post,” he said here yesterday.
On the speculations following the resignation of Basavaraj Horatti as the Chairman of State Legislative Council, Khader said “BJP lacks majority in the Upper House of State Legislature. For the last three years, they had not taken any decision on changing the Council Chairman, for the sake of merely one vote. Now, Horatti himself has submitted his resignation letter to CM, but BJP is indulging in politicising the matter, said Khader.
