Mysuru: Urging the Government to ban the new pension scheme, the State Government employees will stage a State-wide protest on Jan. 18. Addressing a press conference at Patrakarthara Bhavan here recently, State Government Employees Association District President H.K. Ramu said that the protest would be staged at all Taluk and District Centres on Jan. 18 and added that a memorandum to implement the 6th Pay Commission recommendations had been submitted to Chief Minister Siddharamaiah on Jan. 12 for which the CM has assured of announcing the same.

He also said that a memorandum to submit the Pay Commission Report to the State Government within a week has been given to the Chairman of the Pay Commission. Mythological Play to be staged on Jan. 25

The District Government Employees Union, in association with the Department of Kannada and Culture will stage ‘Sampoorna Ramayana,’ a Mythological play on Jan. 25 at 11 am in Kalamandira on Hunsur Road here for which entry is free, said Ramu. Association Vice-President Govindaraju, Treasurer Ramesh Kumar, Secretary Naganna and others were present at the press meet.
