Mysore/Mysuru: Governor Thaawarchand Gehlot, who arrived on his maiden visit to city, was greeted by a host of dignitaries at the Government Guest House in Nazarbad here yesterday evening. The Governor, who is the Chancellor of Universities in Karnataka, took part in the 101st Convocation of University of Mysore today.

Upon his arrival, Governor Gehlot was greeted by MP Pratap Simha, Deputy Commissioner Dr. Bagadi Gautham, ZP CEO A.M. Yogeesh, University of Mysore Vice-Chancellor Prof. G. Hemantha Kumar, Karnataka State Open University (KSOU) Vice-Chancellor Prof. Vidyashankar and others.

The Governor was accorded a guard of honour by the District Administration. DCPs Pradeep Gunti, M.S. Geetha Prasanna and Shivaraj, Additional Deputy Commissioner Dr. B.S. Manjunathaswamy and others were present.
