Mysore/Mysuru: The 14 Karnataka Battalion NCC, Mysore has been honoured with the prestigious Governor’s Citation for outstanding achievements in various events.
During the awards ceremony held at Raj Bhavan in Bengaluru recently, Governor Thaawarchand Gehlot and Deputy Director General NCC, Air Commodore B. S. Kanwar lauded the dedication and hard work of the cadets, Officers and PI Staff who have contributed to Batallion’s success.
Under the exceptional leadership of Col. Manish Prasad, 14 Karnataka Bn NCC has achieved unparalleled success, setting new benchmarks in excellence and dedication. The battalion has been recognised for being the maximum cadet selector in three prominent events: Republic Day Camp (RDC), Thal Sainik Camp (TSC) and the Inter-Directorate Sports Shooting Championship (IDSSC).
RDC is a highly competitive and esteemed event that showcases the best NCC Cadets from across the country. TSC is known for testing the cadet’s physical endurance, while the IDSSC emphasises their firing skills. The 14 Kar BN NCC’s remarkable achievement of sending the highest number of cadets to these events reflect their unwavering commitment to excellence and their remarkable talent pool.
The Governor’s Citation serves as a testament to 14 Kar Bn NCC’s remarkable accomplishments and its valuable contributions to nurturing disciplined, responsible and patriotic citizens.
Col. Manish Prasad along with his team of PI Staff was acknowledged for their relentless efforts in grooming the cadets and providing them with the necessary training and guidance. Their commitment of shaping the future leaders of the nation has been instrumental in the battalion’s achievements.
