Mysore/Mysuru: Seeking fulfilment of their longstanding demands, hundreds of Government licensed land surveyors from across the State, under the banner of Akhila Karnataka Sarkari Paravanagi Bhoo Mapakara Sangha, took out a mega ‘Chalo Mysuru ’ rally in the city this morning.
The rally, which commenced from Kote Anjaneyaswamy temple premises at Mysore Palace North Gate, passed through Albert Victor road, Jayachamaraja Wadiyar circle (Hardinge circle), City Police Commissioner’s office and Male Mahadeshwara road (Bannur road), before culminating at the Deputy Commissioner’s office located in Siddarthanagar, where the protesters presented a memorandum containing their charter of demands, to the authorities.
The protesters held posters and banners that highlighted their demands and raised slogans throughout the course of the rally, urging the Government to fulfil their just demands at the earliest.

The demands chiefly included cancellation of fixed fee per case and introduction of a Pay-scale , job security, equal wages for equal work, statutory benefits such as PF, allowances, Health Insurance, Retirement Honorarium etc., cancellation of notification calling for fresh appointment of Land Surveyors and an end to License system with regularisation of all Licensed surveyors (LS) as Government Surveyors (GS), among others.
Akhila Karnataka Sarkari Paravanagi Bhoo Mapakara Sangha, Mysuru District President Thirumalegowda, Vice-President Prasanna Kumar, office-bearers K.P. Bhargava, S.K. Siddaraju, M. Dwarakeesh, L. Kodandaramu, G.S. Natesh Prabhu and others were present.
