Govt. releases Rs.78 crore for re-construction of classrooms destroyed by floods

Mysore/Mysuru: The State Government has released Rs.78 crore for re-construction of 635 classrooms in Schools that were destroyed by heavy rains and floods last year in the district.

DDPI Dr. Panduranga told ‘Star of Mysore’ that the Government, taking note of the damages caused to school buildings, has released Rs.78 crore for re-construction of  classrooms that have been completely destroyed.

Pointing out that the works have been delayed due to COVID-19 lockdown, he said that all BEOs of the district have sent reports on the extent of damages caused to school buildings in their respective jurisdiction last year, based on which, the Government has released the amount.
