Greater Good Teens Talk 2023 in Mysuru on Sunday

October 7, 2023

Mysore/Mysuru: Greater Good Teens (GGT) Talk 2023 has been organised tomorrow (Oct. 8) at Ranga Rao Memorial School for Differently Abled.

This is an annual event that is organised by a team of enthusiastic volunteers. It is a free public and not-for-profit event. GGT was founded by Reena Sonigrah in 2017 with the intent to pay-it-forward to Mysuru as a social good initiative for teens’ well-being. It aims to promote teens’ well-being through collective learning and sharing. Every year pre-teens, teens, parents, grandparents and learning enablers come together to learn and share.

This year, Greater Good Teens Talk is affiliated with international projects supported by World Health Organisation  (WHO). The GGT team got involved in conducting surveys to support “What Young People Want Campaign.” Many teens expressed their thoughts about their well-being. They also expressed hindrances for their well-being. The GGT team also organised an Art for Well-Being event at The Hobby Place in the month of June.

GGT Talk on Oct. 8 (11 am to 1 pm) will have sixteen young speakers (from differently-abled and mainstream schools/colleges) sharing their views on the topic ‘Love What You Do, and Do What you Love.’

This event is listed as a national event and recognised as a teens’ well-being event conducted in support of Global Forum for Adolescents and 1.8 Billion Young People for Change Campaign, coordinated by PMNCH and hosted by WHO. The outcome report of the event will be shared with PMNCH coordinators. For details, contact Mob: +91 99807-70875.
