Every report dealing with the existential climate change crisis has been exhorting the nations to increase green coverage. It is high time that we the people get involved,” stated a press release from the President of Mysore Grahakara Parishat (MGP).

“We often expect Forest Department and Mysuru City Corporation to take up such activities. Still there are some dedicated and concerned individuals in our city who have on their own taken keen interest to green Mysuru. One such individual is Raghavan of Raghulal & Co. The May monthly meeting of MGP will have an interaction to develop strategies to involve more people in greening Mysuru,” the release added.

Experts from Forest Department and Dr. Shankar Bhat, retired Botany Professor, will lead the discussion. The meeting will be held on Sunday (May 12) at 4 pm at MGP office, Vivekananda Road, Yadavagiri. For details contact Ph: 0821-2515150.
