Growing plants on both sides of road inconveniencing vehicular traffic

December 31, 2022

Sir,

The above photographs were clicked just a few minutes ago and thought worth sharing with the readers of Star of Mysore.

Some drain work / road extension work is underway on Hunsur road attached to Hootagalli NHB area.  Due to traffic congestion, this bus has taken an inside route turn so as to join the main road after some distance.

But residents grow plants on road sides reducing the road width (see pic). This will cause inconvenience not only during such traffic diversions but also on daily basis as every household nowadays has its own two-wheeler and four-wheeler.

Hence, the residents be directed / sensitised to limit their kitchen gardens to pots within their home compounds without obstructing their neighbours’ or road traffic.
