H.M. Gowdegowda (76), former President of Vani Vilas Water Works and UGD Workers Association and a resident of Saraswathipuram, passed away following a heart attack at his residence here  yesterday.

He leaves behind his wife, two sons, one daughter and a host of relatives and friends.

Last rites were held at Honnavara village, Nagamangala taluk of Mandya district this noon.
