Hardships in getting or updating Aadhaar

March 20, 2018

Sir,

In recent times, Aadhaar has become mandatory for many purposes. Public are facing lot of hardships and inconvenience in getting Aadhaar or updating it.

For instance, at MysoreOne centre in Ramakrishnanagar, people start standing in queues from 7 am or earlier, onwards to get application, which will be issued only at 10 am, that too only for 40 persons. So one is not sure of getting an application even after standing in queue for three hours. This reminds me of standing in long line in front of US Embassy, Chennai, for Visas from 4 am onwards in 1990s.

Hope, the authorities concerned will make necessary arrangements to ease the situation in getting or updating Aadhaar and avoid hardships being faced by the citizens.
