‘Hasirotsava’ marks Revenue Day

Mysore/Mysuru: The officials and staff of the Revenue Department celebrated Revenue Day under the theme ‘Hasirotsava’ by planting saplings in various Government Office premises here on July 1.

At an event organised by the Revenue Department Employees Association and Village Accountants Association at the new Deputy Commissioner’s Office at Siddarthanagar, Deputy Commissioner Dr. Bagadi Gautham inaugurated the programme by planting a sapling and watering it.

Speaking on the occasion, the DC said that by planting saplings in various Government Office premises and nurturing it, the surroundings would be covered with greenery which in turn would keep everyone healthy. When a Government employee himself plants saplings and takes care of them, the public will be motivated and will help keep the environment clean and healthy, he added.

Additional Deputy Commissioner Dr. B.S. Manjunathaswamy, Assistant Commissioner B. Kamala Bai, Tahsildar K.R. Rakshith, Revenue Inspectors, Village Accountants and other officials were present.
