Hassanamba temple closes

Hassan: The famed Hassanamba temple, which was open for 15 days from Oct.13 to 27 this year, closed down for devotees after 12 noon  yesterday. On the last day on Thursday, Kondotsava was held in the temple premises in the presence of thousands of devotees. Hassan District In-charge Minister K. Gopalaiah, Deputy Commissioner M.S. Archana, SP Hariram Shankar and other officials were present.

The temple, which was open for darshan of the deity  for 15days, saw more than 6 lakh devotees from across the State visiting the temple, which opens only once in a year. The temple authorities had introduced Rs.1,000 and Rs.300  special entry tickets for darshan. Next year (2023), the temple is scheduled to open from Nov. 2 to 15.
