Former Chief Minister and State JD(S) President H.D. Kumaraswamy has been hospitalised in Bengaluru.
Kumaraswamy, who was unwell since Thursday, was admitted to Vikram Hospital on Friday as he was said to be suffering from fever and cough. Bursting of crackers by his followers in public meetings has led to his health complications, it is learnt.
Doctors have advised him rest for the next four to five days and hence he would not be attending public functions for sometime.
Dr. K.S. Satish, Consultant Pulmonologist and chest physician of the hospital, said that Kumaraswamy has flu and chest congestion and he is on antibiotics. He is responding well and is likely to be discharged in a day or two, he added.
