Head Constable commits suicide at Vallabhbhai Patel Nagar

Mysore/Mysuru: A Police Head Constable, said to be depressed in life, has reportedly committed suicide by hanging self at his house in Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Nagar here yesterday.

The deceased Head Constable is Hemesh Aradhya (44), attached to City Armed Reserve (CAR) Police, who was deployed at Mysore Palace Security Division. He leaves behind his wife and a 13-year-old daughter.

Hemesh, who returned from duty yesterday afternoon, asked his wife to prepare lunch and went to his room, locked the door and allegedly hung himself to the ceiling fan.

Alanahalli Police visited the house, conducted mahazar and shifted the body to MMC&RI mortuary for post-mortem, besides registering a case.

Police said that the reason for Hemesh to take the extreme step is yet to be known and added that he (Hemesh) had not disclosed his problems with anyone.
