Head Constable succumbs to injuries at hospital

Jayapura: A Head Constable, attached to Jayapura Police Station, who was admitted to a private hospital in Mysuru following serious injuries he had sustained in a road accident on Jan. 9, has succumbed to injuries at the hospital on Jan. 14.

The deceased is Keshava. He leaves behind his wife and two daughters.

He was returning to Mysuru after completing his duty for the day on Jan. 9 at about 9 pm, when an unidentified vehicle rammed into him near Kenchalagudu Gate on H.D. Kote Road and sped away.

Jayapura Police, who rushed to the spot, had admitted Keshava to a private hospital in Mysuru where he breathed his last on Jan. 14, according to Jayapura Sub-Inspector Krishnamurthy.
