Heritage City College celebrates Onam

August 29, 2023

Mysore/Mysuru: The spirit of Onam came alive at Heritage City College in Kuvempunagar as the campus reverberated with traditional festivities, vibrant decorations and a sense of unity among students and staff.

The event was inaugurated on Aug. 25 by lighting the traditional lamp by the chief guests Dr. Ajeesh K. Abraham, Dean-Infrastructure and Professor, All India Institute of Speech and Hearing (AIISH), Mysuru, P. Moideen, President, Kerala Samaja, Mysuru and A.B. Ibrahim, IAS (Retd.).

The highlight of the celebrations was a mesmerising journey through Kerala’s arts and traditions.

The students enthralled the audience with graceful Thiruvathira dance performances, energetic Pulikali (tiger dance), tug-of-war and soul-stirring renditions of folk songs.

This followed a grand feast, with a sumptuous spread of traditional Onam delicacies.
