Highway accident: Mysuru North BEO Revanna shifted to Manipal Hospital

Zero traffic created from Mandya;  2 BEOs discharged, 2 others undergoing treatment 

Mysuru: Mysuru North Block Education Officer (BEO) Revanna, who had sustained serious injuries, when the vehicle in which he was travelling along with four other BEOs to Bengaluru met with an accident on Mysuru-Bengaluru Highway near Mudugere village in Channapatna taluk on Monday morning and was admitted to a private hospital in Mandya, was shifted to Manipal Hospital in Mysuru yesterday. 

Revanna had sustained fractures on his legs and right hand, sustained injuries on his stomach and was in a critical state. 

A Zero Traffic was created from Mandya to Mysuru to shift Revanna to Manipal Hospital for advanced treatment. 

Deputy Director of Public Instruction (DDPI) Udaykumar, speaking to Star of Mysore said that on Monday evening, Education Department Commissioner Rashmi visited the hospital where all five injured BEOs were undergoing treatment and enquired their health. 

He said that Mysuru Rural BEO Prakash is undergoing treatment at Manipal Hospital and Mysuru South BEO Krishna is being treated at Apollo Hospital in Mysuru. 

 Nanjangud BEO Mahesh and H.D. Kote BEO Raju have been discharged from the hospital. 

It may be recalled, the five BEOs had hired a cab to travel to Bengaluru for a meeting at the Office of the Commissioner of the Education Department.
