Mysore/Mysuru: Gayana Sabha, Mysuru, has organised two Hindustani Classical Music concerts on Saturday (June 4) at 5.30 pm at Ganabharathi auditorium in Kuvempunagar.

Vidu. Durga Sharma of Bengaluru will present a violin recital while Vidu. Geetha Upadh-yaya of Mysuru will enthrall the audience with vocal music.         

Vidu. Durga Sharma, an ‘A’ grade artiste of All India Radio and Doordarshan, learned ‘KhayalAng’ of North India under the guidance of Pt. Ramesh Nadkarni, Dr. Supriya Bose and violinist Pt. Shailendra Janardan.

Vidu. Geetha Upadhyaya is a talented and accomplished artiste who holds MA degree in Hindustani Music and has completed Visharada exam. Presently, Geetha is pursuing advanced training in music under the guidance of Vidu. Sharada Bhat Kattige in the city.

Renowned tablist Pt.Rajendra Nakod will accompany Vidu. Durga Sharma while Pt. Ramesh Dhannur and Vighnesh Bhagavat will accompany Vidu. Geetha on tabla and harmonium respectively.
