Homage paid in city for kids killed in conflict in Syria

Mysuru: JD(S) candidate for Assembly Election from Chamaraja Constituency Prof. K.S. Rangappa and Sirkhazi of Mysuru Mohammed Usman Sharif along with hundreds of Muslim brethren had congregated at the mosque near Meena Bazaar in Mandi Mohalla here yesterday to pay homage to hundreds of children who were killed in the recent conflict in Syria.

Speaking on the occasion Rangappa contended that Middle East countries were under the threat of terrorism thus involving other countries. However, he said that people residing in those countries  actually desire peace and not war. He regretted that human values had plummeted badly in Syria resulting in killing of children. He lauded the concern of the people of Mysuru seeking peace in Syria through bilaterial talks and not war. Human Rights Activist Abdullah Ansari, Monlana Mustaq Ahmed, Muslim leaders Shafiullah Baig, Abbas and others were present.
