Home Minister has taken strict measure to enforce Law and Order: H.A. Venkatesh

August 9, 2023

Mysore/Mysuru: Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) spokesman H.A. Venkatesh has said that the opposition parties are averse to the strict measures taken by Home Minister Dr. G. Parameshwar to enforce Law and Order in the State, particularly with respect to controlling the moral policing.

He was speaking after participating in a special puja held on the eve of the birthday of the Home Minister at Kote Anjaneyaswamy Temple in city, recently, which was organi-sed by Dr. G. Parameshwar    Yuva Sene.

“Dr. Parameshwar is a senior politician of the State and has handled many portfolios efficiently. Now, he is the Home Minister and has given priority to maintain communal harmony across the State. He has corrected some of the mistakes committed during the previous regime and guiding the Home Department well. He has taken strong measures to maintain Law and Order in the State and also to control moral policing. This has not been liked by the Opposition party leaders and they are making allegations against him. The Opposition leaders must take note of the fact being the senior Minister of Chief Minister Siddharamaiah’s Cabinet, Dr. Parameshwar is taking all needed measures to ensure Law and Order in the State,” said Venkatesh.

Stating the BJP leaders are scared as Dr. Parameshwar has ordered for an investigation into the alleged irregularities in the appointments of Police Sub-Inspectors, the KPCC spokesman said that because of this they are making baseless allegations against the Home Minister.

“But the people of the State know about the administration of the Home Minister who  has also served as the KPCC President for eight years, toured across the State to organise the party and contributed immensely in the Congress party capturing power in the State. This statesman politician must get more political strength to serve the people of the State,” Venkatesh opined.
