Hotelier, former KPHRA Secretary Nagaraj Dhanya dies in freak mishap

Bengaluru: B.S. Nagaraj Dhanya (65), a hotelier and former Secretary of Karnataka Pradesh Hotel & Restaurants Association (KPHRA) and Bruhat Bangalore Hotels Association (BBHA), was killed in a freak mishap in the wee hours of today in Bengaluru. He was a bachelor and had also served as the Director of The Hotel Industrialist Co-Operative Bank, Bengaluru.

Nagaraj was on his way to his hotel at about 4.30 am on his scooter today, when he hit a tree that had fallen due to heavy rains that had lashed the city yesterday night. Nagaraj, who reportedly sustained serious injuries to his head, had lost conscious and passers by had informed his family members about the mishap using his mobile phone. He was being shifted to a nearby hospital but is said to have breathed his last midway.

Mysuru Hotel Owners Association has condoled the demise of B.S. Nagaraj Dhanya.
