House burgled at Tilaknagar

January 12, 2020

Mysuru: Miscreants have burgled a house at Tilaknagar by opening the lock of the house using the key kept in the pouch of a bike by the house owner before he went out on Thursday.

The burglary took place at the house of Anilan, on Umar Khayam Road in Tilaknagar, coming under Mandi Police limits.

On Thursday at about 8.30 am, Anilan locked the door of his house and kept the key in the petrol tank pouch of the bike parked inside the compound and went out. When he came in the afternoon, he could not find the key kept in the bike’s pouch and opened the house by opening the door lock bolt through the window.

When he inspected the house, Anilan found gold ornaments and cash worth Rs. 2.83 lakh missing and immediately lodged a complaint with Mandi Police. Mandi Inspector Arun, who has registered a case, is investigating.
