House burgled: Cash, valuables worth lakhs of rupees looted

Mysuru: House burglars, who gained entry into a locked house in Bogadi here on Apr.14, by breaking open the door of the house, have decamped with gold jewellery, silver articles and cash worth lakhs of rupees from the house.

The burglary took place at the house of Thibbegowda, a resident of Bank Colony in Bogadi.

Thibbegowda on Apr.14 locked his house and went on a trip to Madikeri along with his family. When he returned on Apr.15, he found the front door of his house forcibly opened and upon inspecting the house, he found about 104 grams of gold jewellery, 500 grams silver articles, a Rado watch and Rs.20,000 cash kept in the almirah missing and lodged a complaint at Saraswathipuram Police Station.

Saraswathipuram Police, who have registered a case in this regard, are investigating.
