House burgled: Gold, other items worth Rs. 8.97 lakh stolen

Mysore/Mysuru: Burglars, who broke into a house, have made away with gold ornaments and other items worth Rs. 8.97 lakh from the house.

The burglary took place at the house of M. Karthik at Lokanayakanagar in Metagalli. Karthik is working as an Engineer at RBI.

Following summer holidays, Karthik left for Chennai on May 24 to bring back his two children.

When he arrived to his house, Karthik saw the front door forcibly opened and on entering the house, he saw gold ornaments worth Rs. 8.50 lakh, laptop, silver articles and Rs. 6,000 cash, all totalling Rs. 8,97,220 stolen.

Following a complaint from Karthik, Metagalli Police have registered a case & are investigating.
