A  woman was brutally hacked to death by her husband in Nanjangud taluk this morning suspecting her fidelity.  The murder victim has been identified as Mangalamma (28), while the murder accused has been identified as Basavashetty of Gattawadi village in the taluk.

It is said, Basavashetty, who was infuriated after his wife reportedly looked at another man during the jathra in the village, hacked her to death with a matchet. Dodda Kavalande Police have registered a case.
