Huge croc spotted in Bangaradoddi Canal

January 2, 2022

Srirangapatna: Farmers are worried a lot after they spotted a huge crocodile in Bangaradoddi Canal, near Chandravana Ashrama on the outskirts of the town recently.

The crocodile is said to have reached the canal from the Bird Sanctuary near the ashram and the farmers are now afraid to go to their agricultural fields due to fear.

It may be recalled that a few days ago, a huge crocodile was spotted in the defunct quarry near Ranganathittu Bird Sanctuary. The reptile  used to come on the roads and agricultural fields causing tension among villagers and farmers. This reptile was captured by the Forest Department staff and was released into the backwaters at H.D. Kote.

With the spotting of another huge crocodile recently, the farmers and villagers, who are living in a sense of fear, have urged the Forest  Department authorities to capture the crocodile and relocate it elsewhere.
