Humsafar Express begins journey to Udaipur

Mysuru:  The Palace Queen Humsafar Express began its journey to Udaipur in Rajasthan from Mysuru City Railway Station at 10 am yesterday. The inaugural run of the train was flagged off by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Feb. 19.

The special Railway service called Mysore-Udaipur-Mysore Palace Queen Humsafar Express comprises 18 coaches and will be operated on a weekly basis. The train  No. 19668  will depart from Mysuru every Thursday at 10 am to arrive at Udaipur City at 4.55 am on Saturday.

In the reverse direction, train No. 19667 will leave Udaipur to Mysuru at 9 pm on Mondays and will arrive at  Mysuru at 4.25 pm on Wednesdays.

The Mysuru-Udaipur-Mysuru Humsafar Express will halt at Chittorgarh, Ratlam, Vadodara, Surat, Vasai Road, Pune, Miraj, Belagavi, Hubballi, Davanagere, Krantivira Sangolli Rayanna Station Bengaluru City and Mandya Stations in both directions.

Each coach of Humsafar Express has been upgraded at a cost of Rs. 20 lakh. The train has been built, keeping in mind all passenger comforts, including comfortable side berth seats, LED display, CCTV cameras, USB charging points, among other facilities.

The Humsafar Express is a fully AC 3-tier service sporting a GPS-based passenger information system, fire and smoke detectors, mobile charging points, reading lights for each passenger, improved upper berth climbing arrangement and coffee-makers, among other features.
