Selected for the post of Assistant Commissioner
Hunsur: Hailing from a poor family, a promising teacher has secured 43rd rank in KAS exam and now selected for the post of Assistant Commissioner (AC).
A.E. Raghu, a teacher at Kappanakatte Tribal Settlement School in the taluk, is the achiever. Raghu is the son of Eshwarachar and Nagamma of Alanahalli village in H.D. Kote taluk. Having completed primary and secondary education in Alanahalli, Raghu studied at Karimuddanahalli Government College in Hunsur taluk and later obtained his MA (Kannada) from Karnataka State Open University.
In 2008, he was selected for the post of Constable and served for a year at Ashokapuram Police Station in Mysuru before moving to Konanahosahalli near Nagarahole as a school teacher where he served for eight years and now at Kappanakatte school for the last one year.
Balancing teaching at school and his studies, Raghu toiled hard and came out with flying colours in KAS exam.
BEO Shivanna and colleagues have congratulated Raghu on his achievement.
