I-Day rehearsal held at Bannimantap Grounds

August 13, 2020

City Police Commissioner Dr. Chandragupta supervised the Independence Day rehearsal held at Torch Light Parade Grounds in Bannimantap this morning.

Platoons of KSRP, Civil Police, Traffic Police, Women Police, Mounted Police, CAR, DAR and NCC took out march-past on the occasion.

This year, due to COVID scare, there will be no cultural programmes from school children and instead, the District Administration would felicitate COVID Warriors including Doctors, Police, ASHA activists and Pourakarmikas on that day.

However, there will be the ceremonial Flag hoisting by the District Minister on Aug. 15 at 9 am but with limited guests and strict social distancing norms. Another rehearsal will be held tomorrow.
