Mysore/Mysuru: Dr. B.D. Parameshachari, Professor and Head, Department of Telecommunication Engineering, GSSS Institute of Engineering and Technology for Women (GSSSIETW), Mysuru, has been nominated as the new Chair of IEEE Mysore Subsection.

The nomination was announced by Puneet Kumar Mishra, Nomination Committee Chair, IEEE Bangalore Section, during the first Annual General Meet of IEEE Mysore Subsection held recently.

Dr. Parameshachari is the Founder Chair-Elect of IEEE Mysore Subsection and Founder Chair of IEEE Information theory Society Bangalore Chapter. With more than 18 years of teaching and research experience, he is recognised as Research Guide at VTU, Belagavi and currently, six research scholars are pursuing Ph.D Degree under his supervision.

The objective of IEEE Mysore is to conduct student and professional activities like invited talks, internships and flagship conferences. IEEE Student Branches of Mysore, Mandya, Hassan, Chamarajanagar and Kodagu come under IEEE Mysore.
