Illegal compound demolished by MCC

February 9, 2017

The Mysuru City Corporation (MCC) officials and staff, along with Corporator Prashanth Gowda, yesterday morning, demolished a compound which had come up illegally on Shivarampet Road in city.

It is reported that one Bodaram and Babula, both businessmen, had allegedly encroached an empty space adjacent to Tripura Bhyrava Temple and had constructed a 10 ft. tall compound around it and was using it as a godown.

Though the MCC officials had issued a notice asking them to demolish the compound, the duo had taken no action, which prompted MCC officials to demolish the illegal compound and recover the property.

Meanwhile, wordy duel ensued between MCC officials and the businessmen, following which Corporator Prashanth Gowda took the two businessmen to task and warned them of taking legal action. Devaraja Police Inspector S. Nagesh and staff provided security during the demolition drive.
